Aunt Laura's Oriental Chicken Salad

Ingredients
  • Salad:
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds
  • ¾ cup slivered almonds
  • 1 pkg. Oriental flavor Ramen noodles
  • 6 cups chopped lettuce (I prefer romaine!)
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded, cooked chicken
  • Dressing:
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup white vinegar
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • flavor packet from Ramen noodles
Instructions
  1. Combine dressing ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Add crushed, uncooked, ramen noodles and shredded chicken to dressing. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
  3. Toss together salad (lettuce, onions, almonds, sesame seeds). Just before serving, add chicken/dressing mix and toss.
  4. Other ingredients that I love to add are: mandarin oranges and wonton chips.
