Recipe type: Dessert
Serves: 3½ dozen
Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips (plus a handful to place on top of cookies prior to baking)
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk flour cornstarch, baking soda, and sea salt together. Set aside.
  3. In another large bowl (or stand up mixer), cream together butter and sugars until smooth and creamy, about 3 minutes. Add egg and vanilla; beat until combined. Slowly mix in the dry ingredients.
  4. Stir in all the chocolate chips. Using a medium cookie scoop, place cookie dough balls (tablespoon size) onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper, about 2 inches apart.
  5. Place a few single chocolate chip morsels on top of the dough balls prior to baking!
  6. Bake cookies for 10 minutes, or until slightly golden brown around the edges. Do not overbake or they will come out crispy. Let the cookies cool on baking sheet for 4-5 minutes. Transfer to wire cooling rack and cool completely.
