Super Bowl XLIX Seattle Seahawks vs. New England Patriots It's that time of year!  "Super Bowl Sunday" ~ the annual championship game of the NFL.  It is actually considered (by some) an unofficial American national holiday. The trophy is made by Tiffany & Co and stands almost 22 inches tall. It is worth more than $25,000. It's the 2nd largest day for U.S. food consumption, after Thanksgiving Day! This is such exciting news to start the New Year!  Another photo was featured in The Province (Vancouver/Canada) newspaper on 1/4/15! Growing up, I would always hear people talk and rave about green bean casserole, but it was something that my grandparents/parents never made for the holidays.  When it came time for me to host my first Thanksgiving, I decided to add this recipe to the menu.  I even decided to take it one step further by adding some bacon!  Yum....  Needless to say, I didn't have ANY leftovers of this dish!  And now it's my Dad's favorite dish.  This will definitely be on our Thanksgiving table this year!
