Grandma’s Baked Mac & Cheese

Grandma's Baked Mac & Cheese - Easiest and best homemade recipe. www.SweetDashofSass.com

I'm sure everyone has some favorite recipes that their Grandma used to make or still makes today.    Some of my favorite recipes that my Grandma would make were:  Poppyseed Roll  or Rigatoni Pasta.  To this day, I am not sure what she did special about her pasta.  But no matter how much I try to re-create it, it's not the same.   When my grandma passed away, I found her recipe book and made copies of some of her recipes to pass along to my kids one day. I don't  recall ever eating my

Hawaiian Honey Mustard Chicken

Just from the title of this dish, I'm sure you can tell we are missing Hawaii (The Big Island).  This was one of the first dinner dishes I made since coming back home.  I used Honey Mustard that I purchased from Big Island Bees and  Macadamia Nuts from Hamakua Macadamia Nut Company.  Unfortunately, I didn't bring home pineapple direct from Hawaii, but used canned (packed in its own juice).  Not the same as Hawaii pineapple, but it was a good substitute. This dish was so easy to put together

Day 6 was our last full day on the Island.  I was very sad...time flew by way too fast.  With that said, we knew we needed to site-see some more of the island. This day we decided to head down towards Kona to tour a coffee farm and go check out a Beekeeping Museum and sample some honey!

Day 5: Big Island Style

Day 5!  Man, the time is definitely flying by.  I think all of our adventures caught up to us on this day.  We both were so exhausted, even after a night of sleep. All the non-resort breakfast places that we wanted to check out were at least a 20 - 30 minute drive away.  While normally that wouldn't be an issue, today we just wanted to stay nearby.  We ended up going back to the place we ate breakfast the first day.  Bob was craving another Loco Moco.
