Little Taste of Hawaii Giveaway Details

Oct. 7, 2014

Thank you to everyone that followed along during our Hawaiian Adventure.  If you missed any of my previous blog posts, check out links below!   We had a blast.  Unfortunately,  the time went by way too quick.   We already said we will have to go back to check out some other places that we weren't able to see during our trip.

Hawaiian Honey Mustard Chicken

Oct. 2, 2014

Just from the title of this dish, I'm sure you can tell we are missing Hawaii (The Big Island).  This was one of the first dinner dishes I made since coming back home.  I used Honey Mustard that I purchased from Big Island Bees and  Macadamia Nuts from Hamakua Macadamia Nut Company.  Unfortunately, I didn't bring home pineapple direct from Hawaii, but used canned (packed in its own juice).  Not the same as Hawaii pineapple, but it was a good substitute. This dish was so easy to put together and

Day 6 + Final Day: Big Island Style

Sep. 27, 2014

Day 6 was our last full day on the Island.  I was very sad...time flew by way too fast.  With that said, we knew we needed to site-see some more of the island. This day we decided to head down towards Kona to tour a coffee farm and go check out a Beekeeping Museum and sample some honey!

Day 5: Big Island Style

Sep. 24, 2014

Day 5!  Man, the time is definitely flying by.  I think all of our adventures caught up to us on this day.  We both were so exhausted, even after a night of sleep. All the non-resort breakfast places that we wanted to check out were at least a 20 - 30 minute drive away.  While normally that wouldn't be an issue, today we just wanted to stay nearby.  We ended up going back to the place we ate breakfast the first day.  Bob was craving another Loco Moco.

Day 4: Big Island Style

Sep. 23, 2014

Today we decided to go driving and venture more parts of the island. Since we were starting kind of late in the morning, we decided to grab an early lunch. But first, let me take a selfie! As we waited for our car, Bob's friend was back in the lobby again!
