Carm-Apple Martini

Oct. 22, 2014

Fall is by far my favorite holiday.   The weather, leaves changing colors, apple anything, pumpkin anything...the list goes on. I absolutely LOVE apple cider.   I have an excellent Mulled Cider recipe that I will post in the next few weeks. With that said, as soon as I saw Apple Cider in the stores, I immediately purchased myself a bottle.  Of course, Apple Cider alone is tasty, but if you feel like kicking it up a notch - Here is an easy (and super delicious) recipe for you! BTW -- you

Apple Carrot Zucchini Bread

Oct. 15, 2014

In my Farm Fresh to You box this past week I received apples, zucchini, and carrots.  I originally had other plans for these items, but decided to try out a new recipe.  I'm so glad I did, because this bread was super delicious and moist!  You might even be able to fool a few people who typically don't care for zucchini or carrots. Plus, I was able to use some more of the macadamia nuts that I purchased while in Hawaii!  Mmm Mmm Good! Some Fun Facts Regarding Zucchini: Zucchinis

Little Taste of Hawaii Giveaway Details

Oct. 7, 2014

Thank you to everyone that followed along during our Hawaiian Adventure.  If you missed any of my previous blog posts, check out links below!   We had a blast.  Unfortunately,  the time went by way too quick.   We already said we will have to go back to check out some other places that we weren't able to see during our trip.

Hawaiian Honey Mustard Chicken

Oct. 2, 2014

Just from the title of this dish, I'm sure you can tell we are missing Hawaii (The Big Island).  This was one of the first dinner dishes I made since coming back home.  I used Honey Mustard that I purchased from Big Island Bees and  Macadamia Nuts from Hamakua Macadamia Nut Company.  Unfortunately, I didn't bring home pineapple direct from Hawaii, but used canned (packed in its own juice).  Not the same as Hawaii pineapple, but it was a good substitute. This dish was so easy to put together

Day 6 + Final Day: Big Island Style

Sep. 27, 2014

Day 6 was our last full day on the Island.  I was very sad...time flew by way too fast.  With that said, we knew we needed to site-see some more of the island. This day we decided to head down towards Kona to tour a coffee farm and go check out a Beekeeping Museum and sample some honey!
